Par: 3
Distance: 175 metres
This hole is like shooting through a tunnel.
Trees close to the tee area and continuing along both sides of the fairway leave no room for any errant shots.
There is also a very close out of bounds waiting for you on the right.
Once you are on the green it appears your fears are over.....never assume.

Mount Kembla Colliery 1880 - 1970
Initially mined in 1865 to fire the retorts at the Pioneer Kerosene Mine, the Mount Kembla Coal and Oil Co began work in earnest in 1880. The mine was formally opened on 27 February 1883 by Ebenezer Vickery.
On 31 July 1902, a gas explosion at Mount Kembla Colliery killed 96 men and boys, which remains the worst mining disaster in Australia. The unselfish effort demonstrated by those brave souls who entered the mine following the explosion in search of survivors, only to perish in the effort, is a hallmark of heroism in Australian industrial history.
The mine was purchased by AIS in 1946, and the mine’s production fell until it eventually closed 18 September 1970.
Over the nearly 90 years its life, some 14 million tons of coal were mined at Mount Kembla Colliery.
